The European Super League (Independent Media Practice)

In these last few days, there was a huge controversy regarding the biggest sport in the world, football. 12 clubs from across Europe, have agreed to form a so called European Super League, leaving lots of worldwide fans in shock and disclaim. This league consisted of 12 fixed teams, meaning that they will play in this league every season. Another 8 clubs from the top five European leagues will battle it out in their respective domestic league and the best from the lot will qualify for it.

Football fans were united as a one whole community, with protests taking place near the stadiums of the football clubs included. Chelsea's football fans protest started before their match against Brighton and Hove Albion, with their club officials worried on the impact of their decision ti join the Super League. During the protest, the club's officials decided to resign from the league, leaving the fans with happiness outside their football stadium. After that, more clubs decided to accompany Chelsea's decision and also resign from the Super League.

With the English sides all resigning from the Super League, it was the Italian's turn to resign with Inter Milan and Ac Milan also resigning. The competition was left with 3 teams consisting of Juventus, Fc Barcelona and Real Madrid. Now, the Super league is suspended due to lack of teams competing in it.

One thing that these football club owners learned is that FOOTBALL WITHOUT FANS IS NOTHING.
