Description of software's involving our work

 

Adobe Photoshop is a mechanism designed for web developers, graphic artists, photographers and also designers. Most people use this software for lots of different reasons such as image editing, retouching of the image, creating image compositions, website mockups, and also adding different affects. In Photoshop, changing backgrounds and also creating a real life painting on the software can be also applied on Photoshop. In Photoshop, one has the facility to edit individual images and also groups of photos. In these past years, Photoshop has been evolved in various new software’s such as Photoshop CC, Photoshop Elements, Photoshop Light room and Photoshop Express. Photoshop can be bought on its own where Photoshop Light room is also included in the subscription.

 

 In Adobe after Effects one can create, composite, and formalize 2D footage layers in 3D space. Video editors also use this software for title design, and to create 2D cartoon characters. After effects is not recommended for the use of editing videos because it does not have the same playback capabilities t as a video editing application. The best use of this software is to apply the best effects after the footage is edited. One effect that can be used is simulation effects. An effect that can be applied is a snowfall +effect. Other effects categories in after effects are color correction, tracker effect and transitions.

 

 Adobe Illustrator is a software mainly used for drawing, illustrations and artwork. In the industry, it is used from graphic designers, web designers, visual artists, and professional illustrators throughout the world to create a very high quality designs. This software is used for the creation of digital and printed images, which includes cartoons, charts, logos and more. Postcards and posters are another types of illustration which are useful for designers. Illustrator was released in May 2012, and have been used since from designers in the industry. Another version of Illustrator was released in 2013, which is updated in various ways such as saving documents to the cloud.

 

 InDesign is mostly used for creating flyers,brouchers,magazines,books and newspapers. InDesign in the industry is used from graphic designers, artists and publishers. In 2013, InDesign CC was installed in 2013 with the latest version updated in 2020. People that use this software are graphics professionals and used for publishing designs to the industry. You can do many different work with InDesign such as creating documents that are graphically very rich with designed layouts that should be combined with text and graphics. After recent studies, they came to a conclusion that the best software of InDesign is the one that is part of the creative cloud which is known as InDesign CC. The reason behind it is that Adobe support these apps and they operate with the latest computers and operating systems.

The First software that I used and still using a lot is DaVinci resolve. It is a software that I feel comfortable to use more than others are because it is very straight forward and user friendly. The recent work I made on Da Vinci was collecting videos that I made on other software’s combining them altogether. I made the use of colour correction, where I applied a new touch of colours to the video provided. Also made a good use of the fades that are in this software, where it makes your work more appealing and interesting to someone who is watching. Another small project that I did on DaVinci was a tutorial where I followed every step and ended with a good video, were I learned the necessary steps that are needed to create a good project and have a good final result.

 

Another software that I made a good use of is After Effects. It is not an easy software to use as I struggled in the beginning when I started to do some work on it.  Tracking is the project that we were asked to do. We had to track buildings that were given to us in the footage, doing every step required to have the best result to the project. The challenging project that we were given was creating a 30 seconds title sequence. I made some tutorials before I started working on the sequence because my ability on after effects is not that good and realized I needed more experience on the software. I used some green screen footage and gave it a new dimension added different effects and new background colours. In the end, I added the champions’ league in the background and finished it off with the champions’ league trophy.

 

Photoshop is another software that I made work on. I made tutorials to get more familiar with the software because I needed to be at my best to produce great posters. We were asked to create different posters on any TV shows that we wanted. I made 2 posters on the same programme, but with different colours and background. After I added different types of fonts to the text that were similar to the original poster of the programme. The first poster I kept with the colours that originated from the TV shows graphic designer, in the second poster I combined dark colours together which gave a new dimension to the poster, were I was very happy with my overall project.

 

The last software that I used is Adobe Premiere. This software is the one that I have a very good knowledge of and the one that I have the most experience on. I edited a short project in the beginning as a practice. Then we had to do a project on chocolate were the B-Roll and the footage was given to us, and our task was to edit the footage with the music alongside the rhythm. It was not a straightforward task but I applied some effects and transitions to the project to give it a new taste for viewers that are watching the video.
